About Kenya

Kenya - one of the most exotic countries in the world. Being like a strung on the equator, it is truly a unique blend of wild and untouched nature, beautiful breathtaking scenery, great hotels and magnificent beaches on the coast. The warm climate and numerous National Parks and Reserves make holidays in Kenya interesting and accessible throughout the year. Kenya covers an area of 586.000 кв.км. sq.km. and boasts a rare variety of terrains: savannas, Great Rift Valley, desert, mountains, dense forests, rivers and lakes. Holidays in Kenya is difficult to imagine without the Safari - the world of wild animals - is another treasure allotted to Kenya by generous African nature. Countless herds of elephants, wildebeest and gazelle, crocodiles and hippos in rivers, exotic white rhinos, predators as lions, leopards and cheetahs... Having been on holiday in Kenya at least once, you will never forget Africa and you will continually keep dreaming of coming back again and again ... Karibu! or Welcome!

Security in Kenya

Мeasures of security that need to be taken while on holiday in Kenya, are simple and not particularly different from similar measures in other countries:
-  Large amounts of cash, valuables, expensive equipment and documents try to keep in a safe-box in a hotel or lodge.
-  You can carry some cash with you and always keep an eye on your belongings
-  In large and medium cities in Kenya, be careful not to walk in slums and unfrequented areas, and at night do not walk, better use taxi services.
- Photographing in the vicinity of airports, military and government facilities and police is prohibited. When photographing people - ask them for permission. These questions always cope with driver-guide.
- In hotels and lodges try not to tease or feed the monkeys living there. Balcony doors and windows of rooms in your absence is better to keep shut.
- So-called "beach-boys" at all the Kenyan beaches can be quite annoying. But rather once in a firm voice to abandon their proposed products, souvenirs and all sorts of services: "No thanks - I do not need it" and their attention to you greatly weakened.

Vaccination and Health

О
ne of the main reason that some people scared of travelling to Kenya, and  Africa in general  - it is fear to get some mysterious disease ...
Stories about the terrible malaria and yellow fever, "squinting" almost half travelers - are greatly exaggerated. Some cases have been a few decades ago, at the dawn of tourism in Kenya and now they are so rare that it is easier to get sick with something at home, rather than on holiday in Kenya. Mosquitos are less here than comparatively in any north  mid town of anywhere in the world. Vaccination and prevention are not compulsory for entry into Kenya, but it is up to you to be vaccinated or not.
- For prevention of malaria rather drink some famous pills Consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- You better obtain an  insurance valid till the end of your trip to Kenya and read carefully an Insurance policy, which should be clearly indicated contact numbers and insurance cases.
Also during the holiday in Kenya, we do not recommend drinking tap water and lunch eatery in suspicious places, do not buy anything at street fruit and vegetable market and try to eat only in restaurants in hotels / lodges or restaurants with a good reputation, such as  Carnevore, Tamarind, and others.

Languages in Kenya

C
ommunication in Kenya is in English and Swahili, but also widespread French and Italian, particularly in the south and the north coastline of Mombasa. As a rule, practically every hotel you can easily find staff who speak different languages.
